The Board referred a number of allegations with respect to the Practitioner’s clinical management of various patients including, but not limited to, a failure to provide good patient care, inappropriate prescribing of drugs of dependence and a failure to maintain clear and accurate medical records of the treatment provided to the patients. The Board also referred an allegation that the Practitioner had contravened a condition on his registration.
The various allegations with respect to the Practitioner's performance were made out and the Panel found that the practitioner had behaved in a way that constituted unsatisfactory professional performance pursuant to section 191(1)(b)(i) of the National Law. The Panel found that the allegation with respect to the contravention of the condition was not made out.
The Panel decided to impose conditions on the Practitioner's registration under section 191(3)(a) of the National Law requiring the practitioner to undergo indirect supervision and audits of his practice.
