Summary

The Board referred allegations that the Practitioner misappropriated medication from an aged care facility on six separate occasions. Further, by virtue of the fact the Practitioner had been found guilty in the Magistrates Court of South Australia in relation to theft offences relating to the misappropriation of medication, the Practitioner had failed to comply with relevant professional standards.

The Panel decided that the Practitioner had behaved in a way that constitutes unprofessional conduct. The Panel reprimanded the Practitioner and imposed conditions on her registration requiring education in relation to medication administration.
