Appointment to the Ahpra Board

14 Oct 2024

Applications now open for Ahpra Board vacancies.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with the 15 National Boards to help protect the public by regulating Australia's 920,000 registered health practitioners. The Ahpra Board is responsible for determining Ahpra’s policies as well as setting the strategic direction for the national regulatory scheme for the health professions and assuring its performance as a whole.

Applications are now sought for appointment to the Ahpra Board and the role of Chair of the Ahpra Board from members of the community. If you have a passion for safety and quality, and have expertise in health, education, business administration or regulation, then we want to hear from you.

The National Scheme has an important role in ensuring the development of a culturally safe and respectful health workforce that is responsive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples health and contributes to the elimination of racism in the provision of health services.

To achieve this, we have committed to increasing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leadership and voices on the Ahpra Board and warmly invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to apply.

If you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and would like to talk about this opportunity further, please email mobvoices@ahpra.gov.au.

To access the information guide and submit an application, please visit the statutory appointments vacancies page.

For all other general enquiries, please email statutoryappointments@ahpra.gov.au.

Applications close on 27 October 2024 at 11:55pm, Australian Eastern Standard Time.
