Call for applications - Committees of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia

05 Aug 2024

The Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (the Board) is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced registered Chinese Medicine practitioners and members of the community for appointment to its national committees.

The national committees are:

  • Policy Planning and Communications Committee (PPCC)
    • one community member vacancy
  • Registration and Notifications Committee (RNC)
    • one community member vacancy, and
    • one registered Chinese medicine practitioner vacancy.

The PPCC considers and advises the Board on any emerging issues that may have strategic or policy implications as well as prepare and draft codes and guidelines for Board consideration and stakeholder consultation.

The RNC decides applications for registration and assess all notifications and compliance matters regarding Chinese Medicine health practitioners.

The National Scheme has an important role in ensuring the development of a culturally safe and respectful health workforce that is responsive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples health and contributes to the elimination of racism in the provision of health services.

To achieve this, we have committed to increasing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leadership and voices on the Board and its committees and warmly invite Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders to apply.

To view the vacancy and submit an application, please visit the Committee member recruitment page.

For general enquiries, please email statutoryappointments@ahpra.gov.au.

Applications close on Sunday 1 September 2024 at 11.55pm, Australian Eastern Standard Time.
