The role of telehealth now and post the pandemic – new podcast ep live

22 Apr 2020

Telehealth is emerging as an important change to patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic with health practitioners across many professions offering phone or online consultations to support their patients.

In this latest episode of Taking care, we talk to three practitioners about their experiences with telehealth, opportunities for their practice and challenges they need to overcome when adopting this approach to patient care.

Join host Tash Miles as she speaks with physiotherapist Dr Viktoria Molloy on how she’s adapted her practice, telehealth leader Leanne Hopkins about telehealth for occupational therapy, and podiatrist Michael Nitschke about how he has pivoted his practice to support his patients.

This episode reflects on current circumstances and also considers new models of patient care and the role telehealth may have in our healthcare system post COVID-19.

The Taking care podcast series offers professional and consumer perspectives on current issues and answers some frequently asked questions about public safety in healthcare.
