Applications are now sought from registered midwives from the Australian Capital Territory to fill vacancies on the Australian Capital Territory Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Health Profession Boards in their primary role of protecting the public. AHPRA manages the registration and notification handling processes for health practitioners and students across Australia.

State, territory and regional boards exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.

Appointments are made by the Minister for Health under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory. Appointments are for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment.

Applications will be assessed by a selection advisory panel.

More information is available on the Board member recruitment page.

For enquiries, email Statutory Appointments.

Applications close 12.00pm AEST Wednesday 12 August 2015.
