Call for expressions of interest for appointments to AHPRA Agency Management Committee

Expressions of interest are sought for appointments to fill vacancies on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Agency Management Committee.

  • Chair (must not be a registered health practitioner or have been registered as a health practitioner in the last 5 years)
  • Members with expertise in health, education and training
  • Members with expertise in business and administration who are not current or previously registered health practitioners

The Agency Management Committee provides governance and oversight to the operations of AHPRA. This includes the development of policies and procedures to ensure that AHPRA is able to fulfill its functions as set by the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory (the National Law). Members are appointed by the Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council, under the National Law. Appointments may be for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment.

Applications must be received by 5pm AEDT on Tuesday 10 March 2015 via email to hwpc@health.vic.gov.au. Hard copies of applications can be sent to the Health Workforce Principle Committee (HWPC) Secretariat, Health Workforce Branch, Department of Health, GPO Box 4541, Melbourne VIC 3001. Electronic submission is preferred.
