AHPRA welcomes National Board appointments and reappointment announced by the Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council.
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) congratulates the new Chiropractic Board of Australia Chair and the new Osteopathy Board of Australia Chair, as well as the new and reappointed members to these Boards on their appointments.
The Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council (AHWMC) made the appointments which were announced via their communique of 8 August 2014.
Dr Wayne Minter has been appointed as Chair of the Chiropractic Board of Australia to 11 November 2016, (the end of his current and continuing term of appointment on the board as practitioner member from New South Wales).
Dr Nikole Grbin has been appointed as Chair of the Osteopathy Board of Australia to 30 August 2015, (the end of her current and continuing term of appointment on the board as practitioner member from South Australia).
AHPRA would like to thank Dr Robert Fendall (osteopath) and Dr Phillip Donato OAM (chiropractor) for their dedication and leadership as inaugural Chairs and practitioner members on their respective National Boards. AHPRA also wish to congratulate Dr Donato on being reappointed for a third term as a practitioner member on the Chiropractic Board.
AHPRA extends a warm welcome to all incoming board members, in particular, incoming board chairs, Dr Minter and Dr Grbin, and looks forward to working with them and the National Boards to continue to regulate health practitioners in the public interest.
